URLs

Hi, I have a question about getting a url: www.mydomain.com for my home page rather than http://mydomain.com/sencillo/Theme%20Files My install was atypical (missing tables had to be swapped in), but I did put my preferred site domain name in on the configuration file. Is there an easy remedy? Redirects won't work with it currently in: web root /home/account/public_html/sencillo, it creates a loop. Thanks!

Hi there Croy:

Hi there Croy:

Do this:

1 - COPY all the files and folders inside /home/account/public_html/sencillo anc paste them in /home/account/public_html/
2 - Verify you can now see your site in the root domain www.mydomain.com
3 - Once it is done, delete the old folder.

Just ensure not to MOVE, as there are some files with permissions that won´t move, but they will be copied.

Best!!!

still issues

Hi,
So I tried the copy (verified everything copied over) to /home/account/public_html/ but nothing shows up on my domain. When I enter my "domain.com/Theme%20Files" it brings me to the install page and after "Choose language" brings up:

The directory sites/default/files does not exist. An automated attempt to create this directory failed, possibly due to a permissions problem. To proceed with the installation, either create the directory and modify its permissions manually or ensure that the installer has the permissions to create it automatically. For more information, see INSTALL.txt or the online handbook.

The Drupal installer requires that you create a settings file as part of the installation process. Copy the ./sites/default/default.settings.php file to ./sites/default/settings.php. More details about installing Drupal are available in INSTALL.txt.

Should I be taking the contents out of the folders? ("Theme Files" "Theme Documentation" and then there is the "Sencillo_Premium_Theme_2_0_31.zip") Should it require a theme reinstall?

Thanks!

clean urls

finally got it, but when I attempted to turn on "Clean URL's" under "Configuration" it noted it cannot be enabled. Am I missing a .htaccess file?

question

So, do I need to reinstall again? (I run into problems with reinstalling every time with my host). Or can I just add the file in an appropriate directory (if so, where)? I still can't locate the file in the new download--if you could please email it to me, I'd appreciate it.

Hi there Croy:

Hi there Croy:

Only copy the .htaccess file and place it in the root folder of your Drupal folder.

Best!!!

Hi there Croy:

Hi there Croy:

Please, ensure you have enabled the hidden files to be visible. I have checked it twice too and the 2 files (.htaccess and .gitignore) are both there.

Anyway, in order to save time, I´m sending them to you via mail.

Best!
