Hi there ivrzal:

Hi there ivrzal:

It can be done in theory, but it requires so many hardwork migrating views, content types, modules configurations and blocks that on 99% of cases is much easier to migrate existing content one by one to a clean Sencillo installation profile.

Believe me, I strongly recommend you to do it in that way. Is something like migrating a site from Drupal 6 to 7.

I tried to make some changes

I tried to make some changes so that it work on a standard install, but it does take a lot of time and I realised that I had to redo some of the css. Jorge was kind enough to provide some of the css for the login block. Maybe can include those css in the next update, and probably include the navigation block? Easier if can make them work in all standard blocks. The same css should be reusable for all your other themes.

After buying some themes elsewhere and being frustrated with them, I can really appreciate the way you do your theme... absolutely the way good drupal theme should be built.

Well, thank you for your

Well, thank you for your answers. I'm gonna to do it the way you recommend, but I've never migrated Drupal sites from one instalation to another. Currently I have Drupal 6 web site which I want to migrste onto Sencillo2. What everythink should I migrate? Users, content types, content, configuration? Taxonomy? Somethong else? Is there some recommended procedure? Would you recommend some modules to use to it? Features? Migrate?

Thanks a lot

Ivan

For Drupal 6 to Drupal 7, you

For Drupal 6 to Drupal 7, you can use the standard way of upgrading. However, all modules must be working in Drupal 7 for it to work (most drupal 7 modules should be working by now).
I prefer to use Migrate module which allow for better control of the data you are migrating. You literally can have a live site still running in Drupal 6 and the module have some mappings that let you know the records that you have migrated.

Hi there ivrzal:

I'm not a Drupal 6 to 7 expert, but this is the most recommended way to go http://drupalcode.org/project/drupal.git/blob/refs/heads/7.x:/UPGRADE.txt

Migrate theme configuration from Drupal to Drupal

We are using Seven Responsive Premium version 2.0 and the latest Drupal 7, we would like to clone our production site for testing. We are using the Migrate Module and not getting the theme configuration over. Is there a step by step guide? Short of rebuilding the theme configuration by hand is there a way to port over the settings for structure elements and the rest? Clearly I am missing something and thanks in advance for any replies.
